Six Charleston Dates & What To Wear

Date #1

You and your date dine on tasty take-out Thai from Basil while hiding under the trees at the Battery. You, of course, remember to tuck two fortune cookies in your bag for dessert and then play hide and go seek.

Date #2

Mini-golf at Frankie’s Fun Park in North Charleston, afterwards you nosh on hot dogs and huge Icees and discuss your favorite books.

Date #3

Settle into a booth at A.C.’s on King Street for an eclectic Sunday brunch of chicken and waffles with mimosas to wash it all down. Regale each other with last night’s adventures.

Date #4

Wander through the Charleston Museum with your date, taking extra time in the new Clothes To Dye For exhibit. Then pick the most exotic flavors of gelato at Paolo’s Gelato Italiano on John St and meander through downtown discussing places you’ve traveled.

Date #5

Meet your date for an early-morning Saturday stroll around the farmer’s market at Marion Square. Sample pickles from the pickle lady, and buy a bag of Charleston benne wafers to snack on while you take in the sights.

Date #6

You and your date drive to Irvin-House Vinyards on Wadmalaw for their free Saturday afternoon tour. Then stay for a wine tasting before scooting off to lunch at the Fat Hen on John’s Island for a French/Lowcountry dining fusion.
